To become a certified Ear Reflexologist with RAC, the student must be a Foot Reflexologist (either RAC certified or having completed a course equivalent to RAC training) and a member of the RAC at the time of registration. The course consists of 18 hours of class time, 5 hours of home study, 2 exams (one written and one practical), 30 case study sessions and ongoing support for a total of 71 credit hours in Ear Reflexology.
The course outline for the Ear Reflexology course includes:
- an outline of the history of Ear Reflexology from the past to the present;
- theory of Ear Reflexology;
- the structure and function of the ear (anatomy and physiology);
- anatomy and physiology review;
- the reflexes of the ear, their location and what they correspond to;
- demonstrations involving hands-on participation from the students in the course;
- ear assessments/evaluations;
- charting skills to include health record and observation form documentation;
- session protocol & ear palpation;
- ear reflexology relaxation and treatment techniques;
- practical sessions (repeated several times throughout the course in order to gain skill in application and evaluation).

** The student must successfully pass (minimum 80%) both the written and practical exams and complete 30 case study sessions within 6 months of the last day of class in order to become a Certified Ear Reflexologist with the Reflexology Association of Canada.
